The Bar Hostess is the first point of contact for guests entering the Sports Bar. She is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, managing guest seating efficiently, and ensuring excellent guest service throughout their visit. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, a vibrant personality, and the ability to handle busy service periods with confidence and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet guests warmly upon arrival and make them feel welcome in a professional and friendly manner.
Manage table reservations, waiting lists, and seating arrangements to maximize guest satisfaction and outlet capacity.
Maintain an up-to-date record of table availability and coordinate with the bar and service teams to ensure smooth operations.
Present menus, introduce promotions, and assist guests with basic inquiries about beverages, snacks, and sports event schedules.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the entrance area, host stand, and seating area at all times.
Build rapport with guests and promote loyalty by providing personalized and attentive service.
Handle guest complaints or feedback promptly and courteously, escalating to the supervisor if necessary.
Support the bar and service team during busy periods by assisting with basic service duties if required.
Stay updated on ongoing sports matches, live event schedules, and outlet promotions to engage guests effectively.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations as per company standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a Sports Bar, Lounge, or 4/5-star hotel environment.
Diploma or certification in Hospitality, Tourism, or related field is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a confident and outgoing personality.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, especially during peak hours.
Well-groomed appearance and professional demeanor.
Basic knowledge of beverages, bar terminology, and service standards.
Flexibility to work evening shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
