annual Ballet Showcase
, a highlight of the year that celebrates our students' progress and artistry. The ideal teacher will bring creative energy and initiative, organising internal ballet competitions, mini shows, or other inspiring activities that nurture students' passion for dance.
Responsibilities:
Teach ballet classes to students of various ages and skill levels. The ability to prepare students for RAD exams is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Develop and execute engaging lesson plans that foster technical proficiency, artistic expression, and a love for dance.
Choreograph, co-organise and be part of the school shows/ Ballet showcase
Implement a hands-on/hands-off, artistic approach to teaching, ensuring that participants are fully engaged and working toward specific goals
Keep up-to-date in the teaching area/discipline, including licenses, training or certificates as applicable
Other Responsibilities
Assist with recreation activities and group fitness programs for special events (such as spring/summer camps and National Sports Day).
Accomplish weekly & monthly reports and attend mandatory meetings.
Essential Qualifications:
Required - Royal Academy of Dance qualifications and certification.
Proven experience teaching ballet, jazz, contemporary, and tap to students of all ages.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, parents, and colleagues.
Education
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a related field
B.A. (Hons) Ballet Education (or similar undergraduate degree)
With Professional level experience within three (3) years of teaching experience
Pre-Primary in Dance up to Intermediate/Advanced Foundation
Judging experience is an advantage
Other Skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate with diverse groups of staff and students
Demonstrated involvement as a practising artist in the specific disciplines or specialisations of the respective style of dance
Requirements:
Holding a valid International or GCC driving license or converting the current driving license to a Qatar driving license is an advantage.
Ages 21 to 35
Foreign Language: Must be able to communicate in English adequately.
