Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Deploy and manage Velero or Kasten K10 with S3-compatible on-prem object storage (e.g., MinIO, Synology). Design and implement geo-replicated storage using Longhorn, Portworx, or Rook-Ceph to meet: RPO ? 15 minutes RTO ? 1 hour

Conduct quarterly failover drills and provide documented compliance evidence. Collaborate with platform and DevOps teams to integrate backup and DR processes into CI/CD pipelines.
Core Skills & Tools:
Backup Tools: Velero, Kasten K10 Storage Solutions: Rook-Ceph, Portworx, Longhorn Object Storage: MinIO, NetApp ONTAP, Synology S3 Disaster Recovery: HA architecture, DR automation and validation
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in high availability storage and disaster recovery. 2+ years working with Kubernetes-native backup solutions. Certifications: CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) Or vendor-specific storage certifications (e.g., NetApp, Portworx)
Nice to Have:
Experience with Rancher-managed Kubernetes clusters * Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., ISO, NCA, GDPR)
