Server Infrastructure

Plan, implement, and manage physical and virtual server environments, primarily using VMware vSphere/ESXi. Install, configure, and administer vCenter Server and VMware tools. Deploy and manage Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies. Design and implement SAN/NAS storage solutions (e.g., Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, Hitachi, etc.). Perform LUN provisioning, zoning, and volume management for hosts and clusters. Collaborate with networking and application teams to ensure smooth system integrations. Conduct firmware and driver upgrades on servers and storage hardware. Ensure data backup, replication, and disaster recovery readiness using tools such as Veeam, Commvault, or similar. Monitor infrastructure health, troubleshoot performance issues, and perform root cause analysis. Document architectures, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with: VMware ESXi and vCenter installation and administration Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, GPOs SAN/NAS technologies (iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS, SMB) Experience with tools like vSphere Client, VMotion, Storage vMotion, VMware Update Manager, etc. Proficiency in server hardware platforms (Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant, etc.). Knowledge of RAID levels, multipathing, and zoning in Fibre Channel SANs. Familiarity with ITIL practices and change management processes. Excellent documentation, communication, and troubleshooting skills.

Storage Infrastructure

Design and implement enterprise storage solutions based on

SAN (Fibre Channel/iSCSI)

and

NAS (NFS/SMB)

protocols.

Perform

storage provisioning

, including LUN creation, volume mapping, and zoning on SAN fabrics (Brocade, Cisco MDS).

Manage storage systems from vendors like

Dell EMC (Unity, VNX)

NetApp

HPE 3PAR/Nimble

Hitachi

, or

IBM

.

Work with backup and replication technologies integrated with SAN/NAS (e.g., Veeam with NFS/FC support).

Plan and execute

storage migrations

, expansion, and upgrades with minimal downtime.

Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks at the storage layer (IOPS, latency, throughput).

Configure and maintain

snapshot

replication

, and

deduplication

policies.

Implement and support

storage tiering

and

storage pooling

strategies.

Monitor capacity and performance using vendor tools (e.g., Dell Unisphere, NetApp OnCommand, HPE InfoSight).

Collaborate with the virtualization team to ensure optimal

performance and capacity planning.

Maintain documentation on storage topology, configurations, and operational procedures.
