The role is responsible for:
Creating a governance platform that brings process to the Marketing & Communications department so that marketing plans can be created and executed flawlessly.
Working across a portfolio of products and leading a team of disciplined marketers
Inspiring the team to work collaboratively and follow process across functions with a focus on planning, ops, research, analysis, budget and traffic management.
Ensuring proper development, implementation and monitoring of the division\'s marketing plans, budget & strategic priorities, including selecting, onboarding vendors, and provide required support to the division\'s businesses to meet their business obligations by monitoring marketing groups budget issuing purchase requisitions and arrange for necessary Purchase orders.
Managing budget activities and implement a framework to create efficiencies.
Managing and reporting the function\'s balance scorecard KPIs
Monitoring and updating weekly project tracking to ensure all deliverables are on track.
To raise concern if deliverables are below company expectations, or if projects will be delivered late, with responsibility to get the projects back on track.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Able to deliver on executional excellence, managing projects on time and within budget.
Support in managing to remain within the approved budget. * Manage any budget cost issues or dis-alignment with other depts.
Manage pending audit issues.
Manage internal customer issues or vendor complaints.
Maintain zero irregularities or incidents with the PR and PO process
Timely completion of annual RCSA, BIA and annual MLC of group
Perform the role of business partner, a bridge between the business unit and Group Finance
Manage the day-to-day Finance function of the unit.
Liaise directly with Finance Department on any budget anomalies or discrepancies
Support and execute the planning, budgeting and forecasting process.
Provide variance analysis of unit performance and other KPI aligned to the group reporting
Ensure proper accruals are booked and maintained.
Ensure all reconciliation is done properly and timely
Ensure completion and rectification of Internal Audit comments within target dates and in line with Group Financial Control and Governance Framework.
Manage stakeholder relationship BCP/RCSA to be completed/tested for the unit (Finance side, not the business)
Assist in preparation of special reports for management.
Receive and consolidate and add insights to weekly project list from SVP\'s in Marketing and Communications team
Respond to financial enquiries by the businesses.
Handle the PR/invoices process
Coordinate ADHOC projects between business and finance (eg. Budget transfer, re-basing of prior period actuals)
Review staff mapping on ADHOC basis to ensure that HR cost are booked to correct LOB (Line of Business)
Provide next year and five year projections on budget based on annual and long term plan, to include projects and people costs
Own the procurement process for any Agency Support of the Marketing and Communications team and for any significant long-term contracts (ie Sprinklr, Linkedin, etc.)
Job Context
Manage the yearly approved marketing budget associated with Group Marcom\'s division.
in monitoring of the groups marketing budget and assist in solving budget issues faced by the division * Work with other various stakeholders such as SVM, Group Finance, Payments team etc. to issue Purchase Requisition, execute, and monitor the issuance of Purchase orders for respective strategic priorities and marketing plans;
Provide planning and support to group marcom by issuing correct PR and POs as per approved budget for Implementation of agreed strategic & marketing projects concerning the division including Social Media, Events sponsorships, CSR and corporate events
Ensure the process of issuing PR, PO and vendor payments as per approved SOPs Solid professional experience in marketing operations with increasing levels of responsibility.
Manage the division\'s Balance Scorecards and arrange for quarterly review for onward review
Manage minutes and action items in divisional management meetings
Represent the Group Marcom division in relevant governance forums within the bank as and when required
Responsible for arranging in completion of required annual RCSA. BIA and monthly KRI in archer system
Work with the other heads within the division to finalise and monitor payments to vendors as per approved budget for their respective heads
Arrange onboarding of vendors through strategic vendor management
Manage the internal reporting of marketing budget within the Group Marcom, including financials, strategic initiatives, special projects, etc.
Monitor budget cost and coordinate with respective heads between Group Finance and within the Group
Monitor and report on everyday expenses and work very closely with colleagues from within the marketing function and with business finance function to ensure budgets are being reporting accurately
Work on delegation of authority as it pertains to Marketing and Communications department
Own the process and documentation of Business Continuity for Marketing and Communications
Qualifications
Master\'s degree and/or appropriate professional qualifications
8+ years financial services experience with at least 3 years in similar positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in the marketing function
Fully proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, MS Projects is a plus; fully understands oracle systems
Fluent in English
Passion for marketing
Experience working with global, regional and local marketing teams. Experience in the region and ideally also developed markets.
Demonstrate a proactive, flexible and solution driven attitude
Good communication, project management and scrum master skills
Strong follow up skills, with the ability to drive positive engagement and sentiment around cross departmental tasks, inside and outside of Marketing and Communications
