Job Description

The AV Technicians must perform basic troubleshooting of the availability of network connectivity (intranet & internet), assessing the working condition of laptops, printers etc., coordinating with client Systems team for troubleshooting network and cyber-security issues. Responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining and repairing equipment used to enhance live events, such as microphones, video recorders, projectors, lighting and sound mixing equipment. They record meetings and presentations with video cameras, adjust amplifiers, coordinate graphics used in displays and provide technical support for teleconferences and webinars. Install and maintain audio-visual equipment including display devices, projectors, televisions, camera systems, microphones and speakers. Setup and operate audio-visual equipment for trainings, presentations, meetings and conferences. Perform equipment additions, removals, repairs, replacements and inspections. Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions. Assemble and disassemble audio-visual equipment as needed. Test equipment to ensure they are in good and safe working conditions. Provide technical assistance to other Technicians when required. Connection of laptop/desktop to displays devices such as TV, LED, Projectors Setting up different display modes. Clone, extended, portrait, landscape, etc. Mirroring smart devices to capable displays using built-in mirroring services such as Google Cast, MiraCast, Airplay and AirServer end user support. Audio controls on laptop, desktop, or smart devices AV setup on online conferences such as Skype, Webex, GoToMeeting and similar services Video playback on user device and serviced laptops Support for setup and operation of computing and networking task as required on large venues such as auditoriums, large hall and hi profile events such as VIP meetings. Provide staff/support presence on VIP and high-profile meetings and events for quick response during troubleshooting. Provide staff/support on out-of-office support in occasional events and meetings when requested. Provide laptop computer audio and video operations and troubleshooting. Other AV end user operational support Technical understanding of AV and IT systems Up-to-date awareness of AV technologies and their features Understanding of electrical safety procedures Qualification Must be a graduate from a recognized University or a diploma holder with main area of study being in Computer Science or Engineering or a field of study that will enable the individual to provide quality services. Certifications in the relevant areas (with respect to the scope) will be given due consideration such as in service management (e.g., ITIL certification) Must have a minimum of three years of experience providing services in government entities for the scope in this document. Bilingual English and Arabic is advantage. Qatar Driving license is advantage.
