Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with architects and designers to understand project requirements and design intent.
• Create detailed technical drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and joinery details.
• Prepare accurate and precise shop drawings based on design specifications and construction standards.
• Collaborate with the project team to review drawings and resolve any design or technical issues.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to gather relevant information for drawings.
• Ensure drawings comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Assist in the preparation of material schedules, quantity take-offs, and project documentation.
• Stay updated with industry trends, software tools, and techniques related to interior design and fit out.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 to 6 years of experience as a Draughtsman in the event and exhibition industry.
• Proficiency in using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools.
• Strong technical drawing skills and the ability to translate design concepts into detailed plans.
• Sound knowledge of interior design principles, materials, and construction techniques specific to event and exhibition spaces.
• Familiarity with safety and regulatory requirements related to event and exhibition design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field is preferred.
