Department
QatarEnergy's Internal Audit Department provides independent and objective assurance on the effectiveness of the
company's governance, risk management and internal control environment. Teams of audit professionals undertake audit
assignments within the company. We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced individual to join the Internal Audit
Team. Detailed knowledge of International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (IPPF) and its
implementation is required.
The ideal candidate must have:
# A Bachelor's degree in an accounting, financial, engineering, economics, or other relevant discipline.
# Valid membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. Institute of Internal Auditors) is mandatory.
# A minimum of 5 years internal auditing experience, including 2 years oil and gas industry experience.
# Detailed knowledge and implementation covering internal audit standards, practices, enterprise risk management (ERM),
TeamMate software and business/accounting processes.
# Ability to multi-task including translate confidential reports from Arabic to English and vice-versa.
# Knowledge or expertise in data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI, tableau, etc.
# Leadership skills to drive change, instill best practices, routine contact with QatarEnergy's senior executives
# Flexible approach and be team focused.
Primary purpose of job
Provide technical audit services to the Corporate Internal Audit Department. This includes maintaining audit standards and
systems as well as performing the related system administration tasks.
Plan, coordinate, implement and maintain Internal Audit Department's initiatives, auditing standards, systems (including
TeamMate) and frameworks including risk assessment, annual planning, audit programs, contracting, project management,
performance management, organization, and act as interface point between IA and all QatarEnergy Departments for
advisory services, interdepartmental procedures, risk assessments, and follow-ups.
Provide multilingual simultaneous and written translations related to the Department planned audits and investigations and
special assignments for the Advisor, Audits Excellence.
Experience & Skills
1. Has a minimum of 5 years internal auditing experience, including 2 years industry experience
2. Complete command of Arabic as a mother tongue as well as professional knowledge of English is essential.
3. Detailed knowledge and implementation covering internal audit standards, practices, enterprise risk management (ERM),
TeamMate software and business/accounting processes.
4. Ability to multi-task including translate confidential reports from Arabic to English and vice-versa.
5. Knowledge or expertise in data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI, tableau, etc.
Education
1. A Bachelor's degree in an accounting, financial, engineering or other relevant discipline.
2. Valid membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. Institute of Internal Auditors) is mandatory.
3. Accounting or Auditing certification is beneficial.
