About the Role

GEMS American Academy is looking for a Audio Visual Technician (male) to join immediately.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Set up and install equipment such as microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards for events and functions such as concerts, sports events, meetings and conventions, presentations, and news conferences.
• Set up and operate sound equipment, spotlights, install custom lighting system and monitor sound feeds to ensure quality.
• Diagnose and correct media system problems.
• Coordinate audio feeds with television images.
• Compress and digitize audio and video data.
• Ensure the safe storage and integrity of data.
• Work with computer-controlled lighting systems.
• Duplicate audio and video data.
• Turn ideas into outlines, storyboards, and images.
• Maintain inventory, upkeep and upgrading of tools, resources and stock as required as well as ensuring that all resources are stored safely
• Create and producing lighting, sound and AV designs to a high standard, in consultation with the relevant production director/students

Recording, editing and digitally producing records of all Music and Drama performances and examinations
