Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Demand Planner to join our Supply Chain team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts for our range of bakery ingredients, including flour blends, improvers, enzymes, and mixes. This role ensures optimal inventory levels, improved service delivery, and alignment between supply and customer demand.
Roles & Responsibilities
Forecasting

• Develop, maintain, and improve statistical demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, customer input, and promotional activity.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Production teams to gather qualitative and quantitative input.

Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)

• Participate in monthly S&OP meetings to present forecast accuracy, demand trends, and planning recommendations.
• Coordinate demand planning inputs for capacity and materials planning.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Monitor forecast accuracy (e.g., MAPE, BIAS) and implement continuous improvements.
• Provide regular demand analysis reports to management with actionable insights.

Collaboration

• Act as a key liaison between production, procurement, sales, and logistics to support a cohesive supply chain.
• Work closely with key customers (B2B or distributors) to understand demand patterns and plan accordingly.

KPIs
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and demand planning tools (e.g., Forecast Pro, APO, Excel).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Knowledge of inventory management principles and supply chain best practices.
Experience with S&OP processes is desirable.
Work experience requirement

• 3+ years of experience in demand planning or supply chain within the food manufacturing industry; experience in bakery or ingredients sector is a plus.
• Familiarity with shelf-life considerations, seasonal demand, and MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) challenges specific to bakery ingredients.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with multiple SKUs and short lead times.
• Certification in supply chain (APICS CPIM, CSCP) is an added advantage.

Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
