The Associate Education Recruiter will be a part of the People and Organisation Department and would be required to form effective partnerships with the HRBP(s), school and cluster senior leaders to implement recruitment plans and ensure GEMS schools all are fully staffed with proficient, qualified teachers. S/he is responsible for the full spectrum of the recruitment plan from advertising vacancies and shortlisting candidates to closing successful hires and ensuring the best possible candidate experience throughout the process. Job Responsibilities:
  • Consistent implementation of robust recruitment processes and best practices.
  • Lead and deliver on the recruitment of all vacancies as per the recruitment-operating model in assigned schools or clusters and working with challenging KPIs.
  • Screen and interview prospective candidates and would be able to assess their suitability for the role through face to face, online or phone interviews
  • Long list and shortlist applicants to make recommendations to the next stage as per the recruitment operating model (e.g. Principal / Senior Leadership Team).
  • Develop quality relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process from initial contact, through interview and on boarding processes, ensuring a positive candidate experience at all times
  • Maintain external pipeline of candidates for short/medium/long term opportunities, with a focus on hard to fill roles.
  • Implement teacher recruitment strategies such as identification, promotion and advertising, attendance at conferences and fairs, individual candidate meetings and events, and assessment and recruitment processes under the direction of Education Recruitment Lead.
  • Keep abreast of developments within the company and globally to map the recruitment needs.
  • Implement employer branding initiatives and marketing campaigns to promote GEMS Education as an employer of choice for teachers globally.
  • Effectively utilise ATS to ensure all candidates are tracked through each stage of the recruitment process.
  • Maintain regular reporting and performance measures against metrics to share when required.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills: Expected Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Expected Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of recruitment experience is essential, with some experience of agency recruitment preferred
  • Experience of working in the Education sector is preferred

  • Used to working with challenging targets in a KPI driven environment.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, good drafting & conceptualisation skills.

  • Literate in all basic computer and HRMIS skills.
  • Good judgemental skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
