:

To lead and manage the Security Design Solutions team in the Middle East.

This role requires commercial and technical gravitas and the credibility to manage the complex multi-disciplined delivery of the security design engineering projects and the consultants delivering them, through the entire project lifecycle, from bid to close-out. The essential qualifications for this role are laid out below.

As manager of delivery, this role provides leadership and management to the delivering consultants, and the overall development and quality control of the department products, through entire project life-cycle across the region. The individual will be required to collaborate with the department Director, for the development and implementation of a regional strategy that supports business goals through the positioning of the design engineering practice as the preferred provider of these services in the Middle East.

Role Task and Responsibilities

Management of consultants and project delivery
- Manage and drive effectively the commercial and quality aspects of the live projects by supporting the delivery consultants and carrying out peer reviews and providing feedback
- For live projects; lead accurate financial planning and reporting

Host and chair regular team meetings with the consultants to ensure:
- Projects are being delivered in collaboration with the client, design team and necessary stakeholders
- Projects are being delivered on time and on budget, and that targets for profitability, utilisation and realisation are met
- Project and resource planning to maximise team utilisation

Development of the Business
- Produce and uphold short form procedure notes and flow diagrams for department project delivery processes, to ensure that delivery follows a standard quality management system
- Identify and resolve consultant skill gaps and department needs and implement new strategies to increase quality and efficiency, including short focus training sessions for the team
- Support the development of innovative products and services that address client need that help maintain the Company at the forefront of the sector.
- Assist with the department bid and work winning processes

Client Relations
- Build and develop a strong network of existing and future client contacts within the design, construction and infrastructure sectors and consistently develop the company\'s positioning with them to enhance business development and secure higher fee-earning engagements.
- Obtain client feedback during and on completion of project delivery
- Become involved in the dynamic account management environment in conjunction with the department Director and the M&P department.

Requirements:

- Depth and breadth of understanding and experience of delivering physical and electronic security design consulting across all RIBA Plan of Work stages within multiple sectors within the built environment in Europe and Africa
- Proven experience of successfully driving teams to reach the strategic and operational goals.
- Commercially astute when planning and pricing project in terms of time, resource and outcomes;
- Proven experience of effectively assisting, reviewing, and providing feedback to team members and improving output
- Relevant role of having successfully built effective and strong client relationships

Essential
- Educated to degree level in an engineering or related discipline
- Professional qualifications and membership in field
- Project management skills within a commercial/consulting environment;
