About the Job:

This position is responsible for managing the budgeting and forecasting process and assisting in strategic reviews of both the property and projects.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Responsible for ensuring the financial planning, budgeting and forecasting of the resort is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensures that end of month is completed on an accurate and timely basis and that all reporting deadlines for stakeholders are met.
  • Produce and analyse the ROI projections on special projects.
  • Handles all insurance matters of the Resort.
  • Verifies the accuracy of all reports including but not limited to the Daily Revenue Report, Monthly P&Ls, Forecast.
  • Responsible for the managing of the Annual Internal Audit and associated reports as well as any Interim Internal Audits.
  • Ensure that the Government Audit and associated report is completed in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the development of the Finance Management team by ensuring cross exposure occurs with all Managers for Succession planning purposes.
  • Promote the image of the department by giving full support to other departments and creating financial awareness through training.
  • Has a good presence with arriving customers and is able to allocate and seat guests according to the sequence of service. Has a full understanding of the sequence of service and their role within these standards.
  • Can handle complaints and feedback from customers in a calm and professional manner especially over the telephone. Gathers all information and communicates the issues to management.
  • To have a full understanding of the booking system to manage demand for reservations, to maximise covers and efficiency for the restaurant.
Administrational
  • Adhere to format and documentation standards.
  • Adhere to Jumeirah Finance directives.
  • Ensure that all members of the finance team are trained and kept up to date with relevant Finance Directives and relevant Resort policies and Step By Steps.
  • Ensure that the Finance team comply with all Human Resources Directives and policies.
Operational
  • Always keep the designated work area tidy and clean.
  • Ensure that project deliverables are completed on schedule and documented.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationship with external and internal customers.
About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
  • Business or Hospitality Degree.
  • Qualification in Accountancy or Finance.
  • Good command English - spoken and written.
  • Previous Financial / Operational Analysis Skills.
  • Large Business Operations, preferably Hotel Operations.
  • Computer skills - Microsoft Office, Microsoft Exel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Hyperion/Essbase Planning, Solomon and Opera.
  • Interpersonal People skills, Managed a team of people, Proven record of team player.
