JOB PURPOSE
  • Support the digital design team in the delivery and implementation of a transformational design and in identifying and proven benefits of new information management lifecycle requirements.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identify digital design related risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies and drive solutions to ensure swift closure.
  • Identify digital design benefits demonstrating tangible repeatable value adds.
  • Support digital design in the implementation of the Digital Design Vision and Roadmap in collaboration with Development key stakeholders, departments and industry leaders.
  • Collaborate with procurement, asset management and our product supply chain to enhance our digital product and asset library.
  • Collaborate with digital design in the maintenance of the digital asset and product level of definitions based on the principles defined within BS 8541 and BS EN 17412-1 2020 series of standards.
  • Support digital design in the development of Asset Information Requirements and accompanying asset data definition documents.
  • Identify new and innovative technologies that facilitate and enable our digital design implementation.
  • Demonstrate the benefits of new digital design related initiatives to enhance and improve Aldar’s digital design capabilities.
  • Implement digital design workflows set by the Centre of Excellence.
  • Conduct planned and adhoc digital design workshops to raise awareness of digital design and upskill our personnel, teams and departments.
  • Maintain awareness of digital trends, innovations and relevant techniques, technologies and standards.
  • Champion innovation within Aldar digital design throughout the industry.
  • Champion digital innovation and transformation within Development.
  • Demonstrate awareness of net zero, carbon neutral, sustainability, and safety principles.
  • Competent and knowledgeable in data ecosystems, Building information modelling, virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, non-fungible tokens, GIS, digital twin, generative design, industry 4.0, cognitive technologies and artificial intelligence.
  • Able to identify synergies between technologies to define expedited and streamlined design processes.

KEY RESULT AREAS:
  • Implementation of DFMA methodologies / Launch DFMA in Q1 2022.
  • Efficiency of DFMA based approach to project delivery.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Regular working hours. Indoor Office.
RELATED YEAR OF EXPERIENCE
  • Min of 8+ years of experience in Digital Design Management in a large-scale real estate development.
FIELD OF EXPERIENCE
  • Real estate, infrastructure, construction, industrial design, manufacturing
  • Proven track record in the use of DFMA, MMC, Delivery of DFMA change program.
  • Experience managing both design teams and BIM modelers.
TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
  • Capable of supporting multi-disciplinary design teams and personnel in digital design delivery both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrable experience in implementing digital design services to multidisciplinary design and build national and international organizations throughout a project’s lifecycle.
  • Proficient in technical writing and authoring.
  • Proven capability in digital design technologies (features, functions, and limitations) inclusive of but not limited to design authoring / checking / coordination and approval.
  • Working knowledge in Document/Design/Planning/Project Management Platforms, Cost Management, Procurement, Planning, Facilities Management, Asset Management, quantification, analysis and time schedule simulation.
  • Capability in forging data exchanges and integrations between disparate and desegregated technologies
  • Effective in the application of procedural workflows to aid in expediting data exchanges between technologies.
  • Working knowledge of BS 1192, PAS 1192, ISO 19650 series of standards, COBie, NRM, Uniformat, Master format, POMI and other information management lifecycle standards, methods and procedures and best practices.
  • Skilled in driving technology configuration, implementation and management harnessing Common Data Environments (CDE).
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
