About the Job:

To plan / organize and direct the overall operation of the Gym floor, pool area, tennis & Padel courts. Maintaining established quality standards. To plan, implement and promote activities throughout the club including special events.

Your main duties will include:

• Training and supervising staff including drawing up staff rotas
• Gym team members are guided, trained, appraised, and developed for mutual benefit and continuous growth of the Club
• Designing and promoting activities to meet customer demand and generate revenue
• Carrying out health & safety on the facility and plant (snag list)
• Arrange maintenance, repairs and cleaning of facility and equipment daily
• Maintaining the Jumeirah high levels of customer service, manage attrition of the existing members
• Arrange and manage the Group training schedule and trainer coverage
• Deliver fitness training or coaching
• Handle complaints and incidents
• Promote and encourage participation of guests and club members in activities.
• Report to the Sports & Leisure Manager on a regular basis while also coordinating with the other hotel departments.
• To establish good relations and rapport with members, hotel guests and colleagues
• To handle guest complaints
• To maintain high standards of cleanliness
• To issue job requisition / orders and repair and maintenance of the club and it's facilities

About you:

• To have obtained and passed Personal Training Certification from reputable organisation such as The American Council on Exercise (ACE) or similar (not essential)
• An interest in physical fitness and sport on a daily basis
• High level of written and verbal business English
• Organised and able to prioritise and work to deadlines
• Competent in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• Good interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
• The ability to work within, as well as to lead and motivate a team
• Business acumen, creative thinking and problem-solving
• Motivational skills, high energy and resilience
• Flexibility and multi-tasking
• A customer-focused, approachable, and outgoing personality
• The ability to relate to the requirements of customers from all age groups and sectors of society, including people with special needs
