Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager to join our client team in Dubai. As the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the operations of the shipping and logistics department and ensuring the smooth flow of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the overall operations of the shipping and logistics department
- Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators and identify areas for improvement
- Assist in managing and developing staff, providing training and guidance as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
- Participate in budget planning and forecasting
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans to achieve business objectives
- Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in a shipping and logistics role, with 2 years in a supervisory or managerial position
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of shipping and logistics operations, regulations, and best practices
- Experience in budget planning and forecasting
- Proficient in MS Office and logistics management software
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
