Objective:
As an Assistant Manager - Compliance & Governance, you will support the organization in ensuring fair, compliant, and well-governed people practices. The role focuses on managing employee relations cases, maintaining HR policies and documentation, and strengthening process discipline and consistency. Your contribution will help protect the organization from people risk, improve compliance, and ensure that HR decisions are applied with clarity, fairness, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations & Case Management

  • Manage and support employee relations cases, including grievances, disciplinary actions, misconduct investigations, and performance-related issues.
  • Ensure all cases are handled in line with company policies, labor law, and governance standards.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate case files, evidence, and outcomes.
  • Identify trends, repeat issues, and high-risk areas, and escalate concerns appropriately.
2. HR Policy & Governance
  • Support the development, review, and rollout of HR policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Provide guidance to HRBPs and managers on policy interpretation and application.
  • Ensure consistent policy application across brands and functions.
  • Support compliance with labor law, internal controls, and audit requirements.
3. Process Excellence & Documentation
  • Maintain HR process documentation, SOPs, templates, and governance frameworks.
  • Review existing HR workflows and recommend improvements to enhance clarity, efficiency, and risk control.
  • Support standardization of people processes across the group.
  • Ensure document control, version management, and process ownership are clearly defined.
4. Reporting, Risk & Stakeholder Support
  • Prepare regular reports on employee relations cases, policy breaches, and governance metrics.
  • Support internal audits, labor inspections, and compliance reviews.
  • Act as a subject matter support to HRBPs, COEs, and managers on governance and ER matters.
  • Escalate sensitive or high-risk cases in line with defined governance protocols.
Desired Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 6-9 years of progressive experience in Employee Relations, HR Governance, or HR Operations.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE labor law and HR compliance practices (GCC experience preferred).
  • Proven experience handling disciplinary cases, grievances, investigations, and policy enforcement.
  • Strong documentation, case management, and reporting capabilities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong judgment, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident in advising stakeholders on governance and risk matters.
  • Proficient in HR systems, case management tools, and MS Office.
