We are looking for an Assistant HSE Manager to support our electrical and infrastructure projects, ensuring the effective implementation of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and compliance with legal, client, and company standards. The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to electrical safety, infrastructure works, and GCC project HSE regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the HSE Manager in developing and implementing project specific HSE plans for electrical and infrastructure works.
Monitor day-to-day site HSE activities, focusing on cable laying, panel installation, excavation, trenching, and commissioning safety.
Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure HSE compliance.
Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and subcontractor HSE documentation.
Ensure contractor and subcontractor compliance with HSE policies, especially during high-risk activities like live electrical work and working at height.
Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and training programs for site workers and supervisors.
Manage and oversee the HSE team to ensure effective implementation of safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
NEBOSH IGC (mandatory), IOSH, OSHA; First Aid, Fire Safety training (preferred).
10+ years of HSE experience, with at least 3-4 years in electrical and infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards, infrastructure project safety, and local authority requirements (e.g., DEWA).
