Job Role: Assistant General Manager (Freight Forwarding)

Job Location: Dubai, U.A.E.

:

• Supervise daily operations, including the oversight of shipments, tracking deliveries, and resolution of any arising issues.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by promptly providing accurate information and addressing concerns or complaints.
• Collaborate with various departments, such as sales, finance, and operations, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Analyze data to identify trends, enhance processes, and boost efficiency.
• Train and manage staff to meet performance expectations and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with existing clients and stakeholders.
• Partner with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver regular reports to senior management.
• Expand the client base by prioritizing excellent client service and successfully securing new business.
• Manage communication with international agents concerning bookings and negotiate handling fees and other origin costs.
• Develop standardized operating procedures for various accounts.
• Analyze sales statistics to aid in planning and sales activities.
• Lead problem-solving efforts for any shipment issues and ensure timely updates to all relevant parties.
• Enhance operational efficiency and reduce end-to-end delivery costs.
• Identify and leverage financial opportunities that drive savings through gross margin initiatives.
• Advocate for efficiency improvements, cost reduction measures, and assist in implementing changes within your scope of responsibility.
• Manage and draft supplier contracts, negotiating and proposing agreements to maintain competitiveness in the market.
