Job Description

Overall management of the accounting records and financial reports of the hotel, ensuring compliance with company, owner, statutory and fiscal requirements To investigate variances against budgets and provide analysis of differences. Develop best practice financial accounting and control procedures Responsible for hotel\xe2\x80\x99s compliance with the local tax authority. Responsible for preparing and reviewing annual budgets, monthly forecasts, profit and loss statements, Cash Flow statements. Supervise staff accountants who handle Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll duties in the accounting department. Responsible for verifying all financial reports and ensuring that all transactions are accurate and in compliance with local government regulations. Able to prepare and submit management reports in a timely manner and also ensuring delivery deadlines. Able to assist proactively with cost control requirements. Monitors all local tax compliance that applies, and ensuring that taxes are charged correctly and collected, file the local tax with the concerned authority on a monthly/regular basis Monitor and improve hotel\xe2\x80\x99s operation costs, profitability and manage business risks. Ensure revenues and expenses are recorded accurately. Ensure property policies are administered fairly and consistently. Work closely with all departments in assisting with financial aspects, assisting with the hotel when needed. Responsible to support and liaise with the General Manager, Managing Director, and Owners in meeting the strategic goals of the organization. Any other tasks as and when required by the management. Prerequisites: Should have a high command of Excel, etc. Knowledge of accounting systems like Focus, Sun, SAP etc. Knowledge of Hotel Software or Property Management Systems like OPERA, Protel Etc. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Must be personable and well able to deal with guests and staff. Must possess excellent financial knowledge, analytical skills and be very well organized. Willing to contribute effort to all aspects of hotel/restaurant operation when needed, even if not financial department oriented Willingness to work as an overall team member to help ensure continued growth and success of this top. hotel and restaurant Job Type: Full-time Ability to commute/relocate:
