As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:
  • Track and analyze hotel expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and identifying areas for cost savings.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of the hotel\'s budget, providing regular reports and updates to management.
  • Review and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
  • Collaborate with vendors to negotiate favorable terms, monitor performance, and optimize procurement processes.
  • Prepare regular financial reports detailing expenditures, variances, and financial performance to guide decision-making.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, conducting periodic audits to prevent losses and optimize stock levels.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and industry standards.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for various projects and initiatives, providing insights for informed decision-making.
  • Assist in financial forecasting and planning, identifying trends and potential financial risks.
  • Work closely with other departments to gather financial information, address queries, and support financial planning efforts.
Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:
  • Preferably candidates with Pre-Opening & Cluster Hotel Operations experience.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CMA, CPA) are a plus.
  • Prior experience in finance, cost control, or a related field, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey financial information to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with colleagues from different departments.
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards in handling financial information.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle a dynamic work environment.
  • Familiarity with hospitality industry financial practices and terminology is an advantage.
