Job Description
Our client in the Middle East is seeking an Art Director who will be leading the design and production of our mobile game artwork. Setting the art vision for the team of talented artists, coaching and managing them to create the game’s overall visual style, look, and feel.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide a portfolio showing your ability to create artwork from various styles for Casual, Midcore, and Hardcore audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as primary link between the studio’s graphics team and working alongside Producer and Creative Director to establish a clear artistic vision for the game.
- Enriching the game's vision and setting the artistic vision to create unique worlds.
- Creating diverse, innovative, and functional art styles for the game.
- Defining the visual identity of the game, pitches, and style guides.
- Setting best practices and standards for production based on industry benchmarks and share your expertise with the team members.
- Reviewing and validating the assets which adhere to the product vision and ensuring the team understands the artistic vision
- Establishing Art production pipeline & recommend which process to pursue to ensure the right level of quality.
- Overseeing recruitment of art department, including concept art, 3D modeling, FX, and lighting.
Requirements
Qualifications and Key Skills:Provide a portfolio showing your ability to create artwork from various styles for Casual, Midcore, and Hardcore audiences.
- At least 3 major mobile games with one 3D title as an Art Director or team lead; a variety of genres is a plus.
- Experience in working with both in-house and outsourcing/external art teams.
- Must have completed one entire production cycle on a game from beginning to end.
- Experienced in IP creation and Artistic Pillars for the game.
- Should be well-versed in creating pipelines for a 3D Mobile Project, knowledge of optimization for mobile devices, and all aspects of creation.
- Must have worked using Unity or Unreal and experienced in developing pipelines
