As Area Vice President you are responsible to oversee and direct the operational development and progress of the properties within your region / area. Manage overall standards and service implementation and improvements.
The role involves determining key success criteria for achieving business plans and goals and will include key responsibilities such as:
Ensure the relation with Owners and Owner\'s representative is constantly healthy, strong and in line with our LIFE values
Attend owners\' monthly meeting with the General Managers from time to time
Conduct Detailed quarterly business reviews (QBR) with all hotels under your responsibility with the support on the designated business partners from corporate office.
Conduct high level monthly business reviews (MBR) with all hotels under your responsibility to follow up on the action plans generated in the QBR
Encourage innovation and new ideas to be brought to the attention of COO
Coordinate regional promotions and activities to drive business to hotels
Oversee the properties\' operations and day-to-day financial results regional/area to provide them with management guidance, strategies for regional/area growth
Monitor the forecasted business on the books and ensure revenues are maximised
Strengthen internal operations and infrastructure
Support the senior leadership team and colleagues to make consistent and progressive steps toward organization\'s consistency and sustainability
Support and oversee pre-opening operations, their critical plans and progress in line with the project time scales
Become familiar with all General Manager Policies in order to understand the General Manager\'s compliance to them
Assist in building strategic partnerships in existing and new regions/areas
Effectively communicate work plans and priorities derived from the organization\'s strategic plan by partnering with senior leaders to follow through with coordinated accountabilities, objectives, and associated budgets
To maintain a strong rapport with the Corporate Vice Presidents and coordinate operational meetings when necessary
Supervise all human resources policies and programs including organizational planning and development, recruiting, on-boarding, and learning and development, compensation and benefits, performance management; provide clarity around roles, motivate senior managers and facilitate effective team dynamics
Assist in the hiring of new General Managers, Executive Assistant Managers and Department Heads
Conduct General Managers\' annual and semi-annual performance reviews, draw Key Performance Objectives and monitor progress
Provide and implement the appropriate professional development tools and training to maximize operational effectiveness and to ensure the achievement of colleague goals and performance benchmarks
Support talent development in line with the company\'s growth and training activities to enhance the performance of individuals and groups
Ensure succession planning in the properties and especially at executive levels.
Identify potential EAMs from the pool of HODs; review their PDPs and follow-up with their respective GMs on its implementation and progress
Ensure that business trends within the region/area are communicated to the concerned stakeholders, via e-mail, presentations, statistical reports etc\xe2\x80\xa6 in order to keep colleagues well informed and give business a higher productivity rate.
Participate in properties\' special ceremonies/activities when necessary
Enhance organizational excellence by establishing operational benchmarks, competition checks and resources needed to achieve strategic goals, proactively recommending and driving improvements as necessary; set standards for accountability and measurements of success.
Monitor and evaluate the hotels\' performance through, quality assurance, Review Pro \xe2\x80\x9cRotana Guest Satisfaction Survey\xe2\x80\x9d, ETL \xe2\x80\x9cColleagues Engagement Survey\xe2\x80\x9d, RQS \xe2\x80\x9cRotana Quality Service\xe2\x80\x9d
Ensure legal matters and related agreements are in line with country laws
Ensure proper health and safety policies and procedures manual is in place, in line with the country law and clearly communicated to all colleagues. Frequent evacuation drills are being conducted of which Area Vice President to attend from time to time
Support in obtaining project and permits, including meetings with local jurisdictions to negotiate challenges
Track project schedules and monitor progress and delays through critical paths and action plans
Coordinate and attend meetings with regulatory and public official, i.e. DTCM, TCA, etc.
Communicate and prepare all data/financial summary reports and evaluation updates for the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Vice President & COO
Prepare and monitor budgets, including preparation of annual submission, monthly forecasts and provisions
Become familiar with all General Manager Policies in order to understand the General Managers compliance to them
Encourage Corporate Social Responsibility and champion the companies\' sustainability programmes

Education, Qualifications & Experiences
You should ideally be holding a degree in hospitality management with preferable previous cluster / area / regional responsibilities in a similar level. You must be a computer literate with effective and outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
Knowledge & Competencies
The ideal candidate will have experience in leading operations and be a financial acumen coupled with a keen eye to quality and detail along with the ability to drive through solutions. You are a leader who is naturally hands on and with good relationship building skills. Ideally you are a dynamic and entrepreneurial Manager who invigorates and motivates with confidence and style while possessing following additional competencies:
