The Role of Vice President of Food and Beverage - Europe, Middle East and Africa:
The Vice President of Food and Beverage (F&B), Europe, Middle East and Africa is responsible for the alignment of F&B in the business development and product improvement processes. They will develop and execute global initiatives and strategy for Food and Beverage, working collaboratively with Hotel Operations and Food and Beverage leadership in other regions. This position will represent F&B in cross functional company initiatives and ensure regional alignment and representation. Product quality of existing portfolio of restaurants and bars is a priority for this role. Working in collaboration with hotel leadership teams, Portfolio Management and Owner Relations (PMOR), Design and Construction and Sourcing and Procurement, candidate supports the development and execution of renovation plans identified in the Product Framework and Strategic Plan for Restaurants and Bars.
This role will be based in the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts Dubai or London Corporate Office, reporting to the Global Head of Restaurants and Bars, Senior Vice President F&B. This role involves interactions with primarily internal stakeholders at various levels.
Key Activities/ What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Be Doing
Development
Engage with ownership and the core teams for development projects as the F&B expert and conduct site visits as required
In consultation with Area President of Hotel Operations, Design and Construction, Capital Planning and Procurement, Portfolio Management and approved consultants, develop F&B concepts for all new projects and gain approval from Ownership
Provide ROI analysis and recommendation on type of operating model which may include a FS managed, Licensing, or Consulting. Provide guidance and input on legal agreements
Provide input on F&B facilities summaries, proformas and preopening budgets within the development process
Recommend consultants for market research, concept development, interior design, F&B branding, beverage, bar and kitchen design
Act as liaison between restaurant designers, Design and Construction and GM to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget, troubleshooting escalated issues on pre-opening critical path for F&B outlets
Provide input to D&C to ensure operationally efficient architectural plans and IST to ensure coordination of technology to support the operation
Provide after action reports post opening to improve future processes
Provide input to Sales and Marketing related to marketing plan for all new restaurants and Meetings and Events
Product
In consultation with the Hotel Operations and Area President, determine F&B product grading for restaurants and bars and advise on prioritization of renovations
Approve business plans and ROI models for all Restaurant and Bar renovations, and measure outcomes together with Area VP of Finance
Recommendation and pilot of new F&B technologies to enhance the guest experience
Oversee relationship with regional partners for point of sale and reservations systems
Monitor industry trends and guest feedback, drive innovations in F&B product with importance for the region or company
Operations
Develop and execute F&B strategy and supporting strategies in partnership with Hotel Operations and regional leads. Communicate internally and externally with any regional differences required (supporting strategies e.g. F&B PR strategy, F&B Talent Recruitment and Training Strategies, F&B Technology strategy)
Represent Food and Beverage in cross functional company initiatives and (eg. Mobile App, Guest Recognition, DNA Brand Identity); ensure regional alignment
Provide strategic advice and action to assist F&B operations that are underperforming and who have been identified as opportunity operations, monitor results and make recommendations for greater achievements
Define role expectations and candidate specifications (by location) to enable hotel to recruit best fit candidates for key F&B management roles including but not limited to F&B Director, Executive Chef, Pastry Chef and Restaurant GM
Create F&B standards, P&Ps and training programs

Experience, Education and Professional Qualifications / What You Bring
Bachelors or Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
10+ years of progressive work-related operational experience in food & beverage in similar senior roles \xe2\x80\x93 ideally with P&L oversight. Hotel GM experience is a preferred.
Experience in a Corporate or multi-unit environment preferred
Independent restaurant and bar experience is a plus
5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 work experience in the region (Middle East and Africa) and familiarity with the local dining scene in multiple markets
Subject matter expertise as a chef, sommelier, mixologist, or other restaurant related skill and/or capability is required
