Position Overview
AECOM is seeking an experienced Architectural Inspector to support construction supervision projects in Abu Dhabi. This role focuses on ensuring architectural works are executed in full compliance with approved drawings, specifications, inspection plans, and UAE building codes, while maintaining quality, safety, and project timelines across complex building developments.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor and ensure all architectural works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, inspection plans, and applicable codes
Coordinate daily with senior architectural engineers, inspectors, and project teams to verify quality and quantity of completed works
Review and monitor contractor shop drawings, technical submittals, and material approvals to identify issues affecting architectural integrity or functionality
Ensure contractor compliance with the approved Quality Control Plan and inspection protocols
Monitor architectural safety aspects on site and report non-compliance
Inspect architectural finishes and building components to confirm quality requirements
Perform material inspections and architectural inspections in line with approved method statements
Issue Non-Conformance Reports and follow up on corrective actions
Maintain accurate site records including daily diaries, inspection logs, testing records, and monthly progress photographs
Prepare daily logs, inspection reports, and progress updates for project leads
Assist in expediting NOCs and approvals from authorities and clients when delays arise
Coordinate with contractors' management teams to expedite submissions and approval processes
Ensure all architectural inspections and execution comply with design intent, specifications, and contract requirements
Monitor and report on HSE matters and participate in HSE training and meetings
Assist with inspections of completed works and support handover activities
Perform all duties in line with Contract Administration Procedures
Ideal Profile
Minimum 7 years of overall experience in architectural projects
Minimum 5 years of construction supervision experience in the UAE with a consultancy
Strong knowledge of architectural finishes, methodologies, and building codes
Experience across mixed-use residential, commercial, retail, hospitality, and horizontal developments
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and inspection plans accurately
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Competent in technical reporting and site documentation
Good understanding of construction techniques and site coordination
