Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Architectural Design Reviewer to join its Tenant Fit-Out Management Team. The role is critical to ensuring that all tenant design proposals align with the master developer's architectural vision, base-build constraints, and design guidelines. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and approving tenant design submissions, coordinating with internal teams and external consultants, and maintaining the overall design integrity and quality across commercial, retail, F&B, and public spaces.

Key Responsibilities

Review tenant architectural design submissions (concept, schematic, and detailed) for compliance with design guidelines, brand standards, and lease conditions. Assess spatial layouts, materials, finishes, ceiling treatments, shopfronts, signage, and visual impact of fit-outs. Provide technical comments and guidance to tenants and their consultants during the design review process. Coordinate with MEP, FLS, structural, and HSE teams to ensure integrated and conflict-free designs. Conduct site visits to verify compliance of built works against approved design documents. Liaise with planning authorities and internal stakeholders for design-related approvals and interface coordination. Assist in updating and maintaining the master developer's tenant design criteria, fit-out manuals, and review procedures. Support value engineering efforts and review material/sample submissions for quality and consistency. Track and document all design submissions, approvals, and deviations. Uphold high standards of architectural design and ensure the delivery of a cohesive visual identity across all tenancies.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering from an accredited institution. 5-7 years of experience in architectural design review, preferably in retail, mixed-use, or master-planned developments. Strong understanding of building regulations, planning guidelines, and Dubai authority requirements (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, etc.). Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite; experience with BIM coordination is advantageous. Strong eye for design quality, detailing, and aesthetic alignment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to provide clear design feedback to tenants and consultants. Previous experience working for a developer, operator, or fit-out consultancy is highly preferred. * Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
