Responsibilities
Monitor draughtsman/subcontractor work quality, progress, and overall performance.
Coordinate between architectural- structural and electro-mechanical shop-drawings
Ensuring preparation of architectural as built drawing related to the company/subcontractor scope of works and review for completeness and accuracy.
Prepare shop-drawing submittal for approval. Monitor and control approved shop-drawings ensuring stamped with issued for construction.
Maintain a register of shop-drawings identifying status of approval and ensuring that original copies of drawings are maintained with document controller.
Ensure that shop-drawings are updated as per consultant's comments and re-issued for approval in a timely manner.
Review new design revisions transmittals and report all variations / impacts resulted for onward issuance of claim notification.
Review specification/BOQ and assure that materials indicated in drawings comply with the specification/BOQ and /or approved materials.
Coordination with consultants, main contractor, and subcontractors.
Coordinate with site staff for constructability of proposed details prior to issuance to Engineer/Consultant and with Material Engineer selection and submission of Materials and Samples.
Resolution of technical design problems including recommendation for proper design solutions.
Site visits ( for coordination and problem evaluation ).
Study project original contract drawings in coordination with PM, CM, and coordinators
Monitor production of shop-drawings ensuring compliance with shop drawings production and submittal schedule.
Preparation of RFI "Request for information" prior to issuance to the project consultant
Updating drawings as per client's/consultant's issued and agreed upon change notices/variation orders as instructed by the coordinator
Review shop-drawings prepared by draftsman/subcontractor for completeness an accuracy.
