About the Role
Info Arab Media FZ-LLC / Al Mashhad is seeking an Arabic Proof-Reader to join our existing Digital Team in Lebanon. The Arabic Proof-reader is responsible of proofreading all content, ensuring that the final version of documents is ready for publishing on a variety of digital platforms, including website, VOD platform, videos, social media posts, infographics, and more. Info Arab Media FZ-LLC / Al Mashhad is seeking an Arabic Proof-Reader to join our existing Digital Team in Lebanon. The Arabic Proof-reader is responsible of proofreading all content, ensuring that the final version of documents is ready for publishing on a variety of digital platforms, including website, VOD platform, videos, social media posts, infographics, and more. Key Accountabilities
The selected candidate is expected to perform the following tasks:
- Revise the language, grammar, punctuation, and style of the Arabic text to make sure it is free of mistakes.
- Correct all the linguistic mistakes before publication.
- Ensure the style is clear and consistent with the Arabic language standards of clarity and intelligibility.
- Ensure that all output is of the highest possible standard and respect the Editorial Guidelines.
- Add comments about any style issues to be corrected by the Production team.
- Proofread the translated material in Arabic and Compare the Arabic version to the original English version and ensure that no components are missing.
- Check translations of technical terms and terminology to ensure that they are accurate and consistent throughout the whole content.
- Produce distinctive content for website, VOD platform, and social media.
- Write short, meaningful, and interesting headlines and captions.
- Work as part of a Newsroom team \xe2\x80\x93 which may include other Broadcast Journalists, along with producers, and reporters who find and write the stories which make it to air.
- Package various forms of the same story to supply the various platforms and outlets.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree of education in Arabic or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in Arabic proofreading and revision.
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, and Content Management System.
- Very good command of research tools.
- Creativity and flair as well as excellent Arabic writing skills.
- Knowledge of online production and content management systems.
- Knowledge of and interest in Arab affairs along with a broad knowledge of international affairs, including news sources, social media, and the major issues.
- Experience of working in a multi-platform news environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Accuracy and attention to details.
- Time and stress management skills.
- Very good organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written Arabic and English communication skills.
