The Role
The Internal Communications Specialist/Senior Specialist will help create an internal communications function that fuels and builds employee engagement. The candidate will develop internal comms initiatives in support of the business strategies and execute programs that drive engagement and help shape culture. We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a blend of project management, writing, and creativity skills mixed with an upbeat and innovative attitude. This role will also collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to identify communication needs, objectives, and messaging. Responsibilities Internal communications strategy \xe2\x80\xa2 Articulate and execute an internal communications plan (including tactics, initiatives and materials) that drives internal engagement and alignment to our business objectives \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage the firm\xe2\x80\x99s internal communications content across all platforms/channels in line with strategic and operational requirements \xe2\x80\xa2 Identify and pursue different channels to reinforce the firm\xe2\x80\x99s mission and values to a growing, diverse team \xe2\x80\xa2 Play the role of an internal champion for the firm\xe2\x80\x99s brand voice to ensure consistency and on brand application across all internal communications channels/materials \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinate with MarkComs seniors on internal communications and any external communications relating to corporate strategy, reputation and crisis management Internal communications platforms and tools management/assessment \xe2\x80\xa2 Lead the development and execution of an internal communications platform from a technical point of view (user interface, usability, and integration) to planning, creating and refreshing content \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop and implement a metrics dashboard to measure effectiveness of internal communication channels and assess progress against goals \xe2\x80\xa2 Explore various internal comms channels and new technologies/platforms Content creation and development \xe2\x80\xa2 Lead the development and production of a variety of internal comms materials (digital, email, internal announcements, flyers, presentation materials, fact sheets, Google sites, etc.) \xe2\x80\xa2 Work with cross-functional departments/internal stakeholders to write, edit and proofread content and visuals for a variety of internal communications collateral to ensure quality, on-brand messaging, and alignment with the firm\xe2\x80\x99s values and business objectives \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop and script videos including but not limited to senior updates, firm events, news, department highlights, etc. \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage the firm\xe2\x80\x99s internal communications and IFS calendars and work cross functionally to coordinate timing and messaging of events and initiatives Cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration and support \xe2\x80\xa2 Build relationships with key internal stakeholders, both regionally and globally, to ensure internal comms alignment with any ongoing business or people strategy communication plans \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborate with cross-functional departments (Social Impact, Recruiting, Diversity & Inclusion, BOMs, etc.) to understand their requirements and provide key support for internal communications and marketing priorities \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborate with the PR and social media teams to ensure internal comms is consistent with external messaging \xe2\x80\xa2 Support internal teams in all branding requirements, including branded materials, and source/distribute branded items for internal and external use \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinate approvals across different teams including marketing, brand, design, legal and risk, quality, and independence Internal events \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of the firm\xe2\x80\x99s virtual and in-person meetings and events - agendas, speaker coordination, content development, event planning and execution, reporting and improvements \xe2\x80\xa2 Handle production of branding requirements at internal events (planning and printing marketing collateral, branded items, handling shipping and following up on delivery) \xe2\x80\xa2 Support team in media trainings, by handling logistics and collecting supporting documents for the training agency such as media bios and thought leadership \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage digital and print collateral library

Requirements
Qualifications: \xe2\x80\xa2 Bachelor\'s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, PR or another related field \xe2\x80\xa2 6-8 years\xe2\x80\x99 professional experience in a strategic internal communications role preferably in a professional services environment or communications firm/ad agency setting \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience with a range of internal, digital and social communication formats, channels and tools \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in writing and editing marketing and internal content \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent written and verbal communication skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent storytelling skills and a passion for bringing creative ideas to life \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong project management skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong cross-team collaboration, with a demonstrated ability to work across stakeholder groups, functional areas, and different levels of seniority to get things done \xe2\x80\xa2 Technologically savvy and able to learn new platforms quickly \xe2\x80\xa2 Utmost respect for brand guidelines and appropriate messaging \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to self-manage time and projects, prioritizing and balancing across multiple competing demands
