Job Description

:

As an Application Manager, you are responsible for providing a set of high level of support standards and to ensure the optimum operation of all IT systems and processes. This includes but not limited to:
  • Driving the support team members to meet the expected departmental goals.
  • Providing optimum support for Damac Hotels & Resorts users and guests.
  • Set the users\' expectations for obtaining support and meeting the set expectations.
  • Enhancing support-related applications to enhance the provided support.
  • Strictly follow internal operation processes including employee-related and rental-pool-related processes.
  • Deploying and enhancing the operation applications to enforce the set processes.
  • Coordinating with vendors for support matters within SLAs.
  • Completing internal (within department) and external (across properties) audits to ensure policies compliance.
  • Reviewing and maintaining employee performance and personal goals plans
  • Coordinating with Corporate Office (Executive Heights) to ensure compliance with EH\'s IT policies and SOPs
  • Providing weekly updates to management about support and operation achievements and concerns/issues
  • Supporting the project team in deployment and roll-out of Hotel systems and rental pool setups.
  • Domain user management for hospitality users.
  • Monitor the performance of applications and infrastructure, identifying bottlenecks, performance issues, or areas for improvement. Implement optimization strategies to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT applications, including planning, implementation, testing, deployment, upgrade and maintenance of hotel applications such as Opera PMS, Micros POS, IP Telephony, call accounting system, IPTV, 3C payment solution, SUN system, HSIA, Access control, Guest request management system, Material control etc.
  • Develop training programs and materials to educate hotel staff on how to effectively use the various IT applications. Provide ongoing technical support to end-users, addressing issues, troubleshooting, and resolving problems.
  • Ownership of application configurations and user management.
  • Ensure seamless integration of various applications used within the hotel, such as property management systems, point-of-sale systems, reservations systems, and other operational systems.
  • Lead or participate in IT projects related to application upgrades, new system implementations, or process improvements. Coordinate with stakeholders, set project timelines, allocate resources, and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Update desktop hardware, OS, applications, AV and web filter.
  • Oversee data integrity and security for hotel applications. Implement appropriate access controls, data backup, disaster recovery plans, and data protection measures to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Managing change requests for hotel network and systems with corporate IT (Executive Heights) team.
  • Overlook system readiness for pre-opening hotels.
  • Review preventive maintenances carried out by vendors for various systems.
  • Collaborate with vendors and end users to meet specific business requirements. This may involve creating custom reports, dashboards, interfaces, or workflows.
  • Identifying and delivering new product solutions and enhancing existing portfolio by collaborating with cross-functionality with engineering, marketing, sales, revenue, and finance team.
  • Deriving ideas that add value to the business by coordinating with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • IT asset management.
Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum of 5 years\' experience in managing Hotel applications:
  • Opera PMS - expert
  • Micros POS - expert
  • Infor SUN Finance - expert
  • Fourth ADACO Procurement - expert
  • Avaca SCM Procurement - expert
  • Vicas Passport Scanning & eReg - good knowledge
  • Vingcard Access Control - good knowledge
  • ReviewPro - basic knowledge
  • Revinate - basic knowledge
  • 3C Credit Card systems - basic knowledge
  • HotLync Call Accounting - basic knowledge
Minimum of 5 years\' experience in systems & infrastructure:
  • Windows Server OS (installation, troubleshooting, restoration) - expert
  • HP & Dell servers - expert
  • MS Active Directory, DHCP, DNS - good knowledge
  • Cisco & Aruba Network switching - good knowledge
  • Fortigate Firewalls - basic knowledge
  • Avaya IP Telephony - good understanding
  • Hoteza IP TV system - good knowledge
  • Arantia IPTV Headends - good knowledge
  • Antlabs HSIA - good knowledge
  • Hoteza HSIA - good knowledge
