Position Summary:
To support Applications team in ITT Fluid technologies \xe2\x80\x93 Dubai Branch as Intern to fully utilize the knowledge and gain knowledge by Doing It Right First Time and Every Time thus establishing a Continuous Improvement Process by discretizing the work which leads to one\xe2\x80\x99s personal growth as well Organizational growth towards completion of this Intern training. Essential Responsibilities:
- Review of ITT products catalogue and Goulds pumps Manual for the understanding of pump basics and overview of Products with us and its range of it.
- Familiarize with Industry standards such as API 610, ASME B73.1/73.2/73.3 & 73.5, ISO 5199, UL/FM certification and NFPA 20.
- Selection of Centrifugal Pumps from various manufacturing range of Highly Engineered Centrifugal pumps under API standard (OH2, BB2 , BB3 ,VS1, VS4, VS6, OH3 ), & Industrial pumps such as ISO & ANSI standard pumps (OH1, BB1, VS1, VS4, VS6) based on the service, duty parameters, technical specifications thru our selection software [E-PRISM].
- Understanding of working with sub vendors offers of Mechanical seals, Seal flush systems, Electric driver, Diesel engine, Lube Oil Systems & Couplings, etc to understand the technical quotation, evaluation and procurement for the projects and Tenders.
- Understanding the involvement of our advance procurement role in supporting them for negotiating with the sub vendors during the Technical and Commercial Evaluation which is required for the Tenders / Proposal preparation.
- Understanding on Liaising with Engineering, Production departments & other business units for technical, commercial and sub vendor supports, upon requirement.
- Working with-in Applications team as support function in preparations of Technical and Commercial Offer and Order transfer to the Factory for the Purchase Orders received from them.
- Understanding the technical queries shared by customer and support the applications team to resolve the same with attempt of answering it.
- Understanding the basic overview of Commercial / Terms & Conditions with Corporate Legal department & work with the Clients / Sub Suppliers to arrive at a consensus on General Purchase Condition for the Projects.
- Join along with Sr. Applications to understand the Technical meeting, internal order handover meeting with Project manager, Product manager & other order execution team members to know better insight of the order receipt process and further actions on received orders and support them during order execution phase, upon requirement.
- Update and maintaining job data base and involving in Continuous Improvement activities.
