Application Engineer – Systems and Platform – Dubai, UAE

- Apply engineering expertise and knowledge of Digital Mission Engineering and STK to provide highest level technical assistance to customers, ensuring high-quality, timely customer service that results in improved customer satisfaction and productivity.
- Architect and develop holistic system-level solutions and workflows using STK by leveraging technologies and disciplines such as tool integration, model-based systems engineering, simulation process and data management, design exploration and optimization, material data management, and digital mission engineering.
- Develop competence as a subject matter expert and industry expert in the field of multidomain mission engineering.
- Own the customer problems, and proactively engage with selected accounts to provide comprehensive solutions. Contribute to all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle, interact with customers to understand their product design needs and engineering design workflows, and articulate Ansys’ value proposition.
- Instruct introductory and/or intermediate training classes and contribute to the delivery of professional services for projects which might include collaborative work with other field engineers in the same or different disciplines.
- Gather customer requirements to support the improvement of Ansys software and collaborate with the Ansys product development teams to translate customer requirements into new product capabilities. Test new releases on industrial problems.
- Participates in internal company initiatives to share knowledge and to create best practices, inside the discipline and cross-disciplines.
- Develop simulation best practices, solutions, FAQs for knowledge base
- Required education and degree type: Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical/Chemical/Aerospace/Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or related field
- Required minimum years of professional experience in relevant engineering domain: 2 years for Bachelors
- Working knowledge of satellite orbits, space mission design, and aircraft systems.
- Proficiency in scripting/ development using one of more of the following languages: Python, MATLAB, C#, Java
- Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial STK, CAE software packages
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate and conduct webinars and presentations to customers
- Ability to work on multiple projects which are complex in nature
- Demonstrated skills in writing and presenting in fluent English
- Preferred professional experience in relevant engineering domain of 5 years for Bachelors or 3 years for Masters or relevant research topic for Ph.D.
- Demonstrated ability to understand business requirements and translate these into an execution plan that delivers value and meets business goals.
- Preferred experience in Aerospace and Defense
