Operation Theater

, combined with your expertise in anesthesia equipment, will ensure the highest level of care and safety for patients undergoing surgery or other medical interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation and Maintenance of Anesthesia Equipment

: Set up and maintain anesthesia machines, ventilators, and monitoring devices in the operating room and ensure they are functioning properly. Prepare anesthesia supplies, including drugs, syringes, intravenous fluids, and airway management tools, ensuring all are ready and available for procedures. Perform routine checks and calibration of anesthesia equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Assisting Anesthesiologists

: Assist anesthesiologists during the induction, maintenance, and emergence phases of anesthesia. Provide direct support in administering anesthesia by preparing and verifying medications, adjusting settings on machines, and monitoring patient responses. Ensure the anesthesiologist has all necessary equipment and supplies during the procedure.

Operation Theater Support

: Maintain a sterile, organized environment in the operating room by ensuring all anesthesia-related equipment and supplies are ready for each surgery. Assist with positioning patients, applying monitoring devices, and securing airway management tools. Work collaboratively with the surgical team to monitor patient vital signs and respond to any changes during the procedure.

Emergency Response

: Respond promptly to emergency situations, providing critical support in managing airway complications, resuscitation efforts, and drug administration. Handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently, assisting the team with interventions when needed.

Monitoring and Documentation

: Continuously monitor and record patient vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, etc.) during anesthesia administration. Keep accurate, detailed records of anesthesia administration, dosages, and patient responses for each surgical procedure. Ensure proper documentation in line with hospital protocols and regulatory standards.

Sterilization and Infection Control

: Follow proper sterilization and infection control procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment in the operating room. Clean, sterilize, and maintain anesthesia equipment after use, ensuring readiness for future procedures.

Stock Management and Inventory Control

: Ensure that anesthesia supplies, medications, and equipment are properly stocked, maintained, and replaced as needed. Monitor expiration dates of medications and ensure timely replenishment of supplies.

Collaboration and Communication

: Work closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurses, and other members of the surgical team to provide optimal patient care. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure coordination during surgeries and procedures.

Licensing and Continuing Education

: Maintain a valid and up-to-date professional license in anesthesia technology. Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with new anesthesia technologies, procedures, and protocols.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience

in anesthesia technology or a similar role.

Valid License

(DOH) Experience working in an

Operation Theater

setting, with hands-on knowledge of anesthesia equipment and protocols. Strong understanding of anesthesia medications, monitoring devices, and safety standards. Ability to work well under pressure and remain calm during emergencies. Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with surgical teams. Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and documentation skills. Ability to troubleshoot anesthesia equipment and respond to operational issues in real-time.
