The Analytics & Insights Manager will be a real change agent that will lead stakeholders through the analytics transformation by establishing himself as a trusted thought leader and continuously driving the usage of analytics & insights in day-to-day business via cutting-edge analytics platforms. Beyond being hands on with data, you will be defining the analytics & insights strategy for the group and the data driven solutions that meet the needs of our companies in using data to improve their business
Roles and Responsibilities
Leadership
Work in close partnership with the business leadership team to execute the analytics agenda
Identify and incubate best-in-class external partners to drive delivery on strategic projects
Build, develop and lead a team of data engineers, scientists and analysts, providing direction for the team and creating cohesion amongst its members
Working closely with the Strategy Committee in defining and implementing the group-wide Analytics & Insights strategy
Build Big Data infrastructure strategy and planning Lead the definition, establishment and operation of a Customer Centrality Command Center (C4), working with all insights stakeholders across the Group
Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior analytics stakeholders and lead the change management effort relating to the adoption of Insights platforms (definition and deployment)
Analytics products and customized insights
Drive the definition of a group-wide strategy, explaining what "state of the art" looks like in Analytics & Insights. Organize workshops to gather the needs of each business unit in terms data, insights and visualizations
Work with the business units and internal stakeholders to convert strategic needs into data / insights requirements and vice versa
Develop and execute the business analytics program agenda using a methodical approach that conveys to stakeholders what business analytics will deliver
Develop custom models/algorithms, whenever necessary, to uncover signals/patterns and trends to drive business performance through actionable insights
Ensure usage and implementation of products and procedures by the business and define plans to ensure adoption and tracking
Liaise with business owners and help problem solve challenges in data collection and/or product implementation and usage
Working closely with the business to collect feedback, incorporating in the product, as well as maintaining and improving its functionality over time
Publish internal and external thought readership articles and research
Collaboration and interaction with other teams
Working closely with data management colleagues to guide them on structuring relevant data to facilitate data exploration and fast prototyping
Ensuring the data science team defines more complex business needs and translates them into tech requirements and that the right solutions, processes and products are being created
Work closely with business users to explain the possibilities and limitations of our data and be a thought leader for all insights discussions across the group
Working with data engineers on incorporating data from external sources which would complement internal data
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in in a quantitative field (business, math, economics, finance, statistics, science, engineering)
Master's Degree in statistics, math, computer science, business, economics or finance is a plus
12+ years of experience in Business Analysis or Analytics with strong experience in deriving insights from data and driving change in organizations
Deep understanding of how technology and digital unlocks value for business leaders
Strong ability to structure problems and leverage analytics in problem solving as well as a significant business acumen with experience across multiple industries and functions
Excellent data story telling abilities
Strong track record of adapting to new concepts and getting an in depth understanding of a business area within a very short timeframe
Strong SQL hands -on experience in data integration and data exploration coupled with Strong data visualization ability (expert at working with one or multiple visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI and Qlik)
Strong influence and ability to stand out and role model change across the group
Proactive problem solver with immediate professional and intellectual credibility and an impactful style
Collaborative, low-ego and pragmatic while having the ability to put theory in practice
