Role Summary
Our Analyst New Verticals, Business Models, and Innovation will support on the success of a spectrum of existing verticals from the logistics standpoint, spanning from:
  • t-mart (our dark stores)
  • Everyday Roastery (our homegrown coffee brand)
  • Groceries to NFV (Non-Food Verticals including retails, pharmacies, etc.).
This role will own several logistics KPIs to constantly improve performance while supporting the business to resolve the most critical operational problems
As a part of the regional logistics team, this role will also work on developing new business models and collaborate with stakeholders to launch them seamlessly and on time. The role will also evaluate and implement innovative technologies and business models bound to disrupt the entire FoodTech Industry (e.g., drone delivery, autonomous vehicles) and drive our business objectives of efficiency and superior customer experience. To be successful in this role, you need to be structured in problem-solving, data-driven, and adept at building relationships with senior decision-makers. You will also need to be inspired by innovation while relentlessly venturing to apply it to the world around you. What's On Your Plate?
  • Support with the data extraction from talabat’s databases and conduct deep data analysis to identify insights and develop recommendations
  • Monitor our new verticals (grocery and non-food) logistics performance and develop a deep understanding of the problems faced day-to-day
  • Support on the direction setting of initiatives to improve operational performance while continuously scanning opportunities for improvement whether by introducing automation or through designing better processes
  • Develop an adequate understanding of our logistics products and how to leverage their functionality to decrease operational frictions
  • Explore new business models, and work with and through the stakeholders to timely launch in the markets and own all aspects of execution
  • Evaluate and implement innovative technologies and business models bound to disrupt the entire FoodTech Industry (e.g., drone delivery, autonomous vehicles, etc.)
  • Help to define objectives and develop end-to-end plans and strategies (both short-term and long-term) to grow new verticals and business models and maintain key logistics performance metrics

Technical requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years of experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Slides
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools including Tableau, Data studio, and Looker
  • BI experience is a plus
Demonstrated traits
  • Understands data architecture and data models
  • Ability to grasp complex concepts and apply them to your work / to the business
  • Strong problem-solving abilities; extremely organized and process-driven
  • Track record of getting things done while managing a heavy workload effectively by setting priorities and managing expectations well
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills across a wide range of stakeholders
