What will you do?

An Analyst will work on complex client engagements with experienced dss+ Consultants, Managers and Industry subject matter experts. This includes gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing and communicating recommendations. He or She will also have the opportunity to present results to clients and implement recommendations in collaboration with client team members. He or she must be a self-starter and is able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and must be driven to produce improvement initiatives both internally and with clients.

The Analyst must have excellent analytical and communication skills to contribute in maintaining positive client relations and high client satisfaction levels across different domains, for example:

• An industry, e.g. Mining, Oil and Gas, Chemicals, Food & Beverage, Utilities etc.
• A functional Discipline e.g. Operational Risk Management, Operational Excellence, Digital

More specifically, you would have

Technical Expertise

• Maintaining strong industry knowledge; stay abreast of current trends and new technologies related to industry or technical practice to facilitate and add value in evaluation and recommendation of new processes.
• Supporting the DSS knowledge base through creating best practice project content and standardizing project practices and templates.
• Supporting the development and publishing of thought leadership and new perspectives, including DSS Points of View, and educating key stakeholders internally and externally.

Project Execution

• Leading the execution of project tasks and assignment on work streams of a client engagement, including:
• Identifying and structuring client challenges and issues in order to develop hypotheses
• Collecting and gathering client data to test hypotheses
• Analyzing data to develop meaningful recommendations and solutions

• Supporting the development of high-quality presentations and documents to be used in client engagements and business development.
• Building and maintaining positive client relationships to ensure project success.
• Developing foundational knowledge and expertise in a key discipline area (e.g. Safety, OpEx)

Who are you?

To be successful in this position, you would bring the following qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor\'s degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Mining etc)
• 0-3 years of associated industry / technical and client facing experience / exposure
• Prior experience in established consulting firms / relevant industry internships
• Technical knowledge and expertise in relevant field of experience is preferred
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Analytical Skills > Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis
• Time Management / Prioritization Skills

IT Skills / Trade Tools

• Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Advanced Excel)
• Project management software (an advantage, otherwise learned on the job)
