Job Description

The Role

Key Responsibilities o Supervise and coordinate the activities of operators and production staff on the 6" extrusion press line. o Monitor press operations to ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols. o Set up and troubleshoot extrusion dies, tooling, and equipment. o Oversee billet loading, extrusion, quenching, and handling procedures. o Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and coordinate with maintenance for timely repairs and preventive maintenance. o Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to ensure skill development and performance improvement. o Maintain accurate production and downtime records; report deviations to upper management. o Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies. o Liaise with quality control to minimize defects and reduce scrap. o Assist with inventory control, raw material usage, and operational efficiency. o Support continuous improvement initiatives across the extrusion line.



Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in aluminium extrusion, specifically with 6" & 8" press operations. o Strong understanding of extrusion processes, die setup, tooling, and metallurgical principles. o Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. o Knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality systems o Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. o Excellent communication and team management abilities. o Proficiency with production reporting systems and basic computer skills.
