Job Description

Administrative Assistants assist with the day-to-day operations of an office by doing tasks such as filing paperwork, answering phone calls, preparing documents for meetings, and managing the calendar of their Managers.

Administrative Assistants are responsible for many clerical tasks to ensure the staff can communicate and work efficiently. Their job involves answering phone calls, greeting visitors, distributing mail, and preparing communications.

Successful Administrative Assistants possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Frequently tasked with handling correspondence, speaking to clients, and dealing with the public, business partners, and vendors, great Administrative Assistants may become the face and voice of an organization.

Their duties may include fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, creating spreadsheets and presentations, and filing. Additionally, administrators are often responsible for office projects and tasks, as well as overseeing the work of junior admin staff.
