Job Description

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to manage day-to-day financial transactions and ensure the accurate processing of invoices and payments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounts payable procedures, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include verifying and recording payable data, reconciling ledgers, resolving discrepancies, and preparing reports. A background in real estate or a related industry is preferred. Responsibilities: o Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data. o Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted. o Compare purchase orders, prices, terms of payment, and other charges. o Verify invoices and supporting documents to ensure accuracy. o Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues. o Maintain historical records by filing documents. o Prepare reports on accounts payable and expenditures. o Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries. o Produce monthly reports and assist in month-end closing.



Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field o Minimum 3 years of relevant experience within the real estate or similar industry o Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures o Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel o Excellent attention to detail and accuracy o Good organizational and time management skills o Strong communication and interpersonal skills o Ability to work independently and as part of a team o Problem-solving skills and ability to handle discrepancies in a timely manner o Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards o Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
