Our cleint is an Environmental Technologies Company that Supplies Equipment Packages and Treatment Solutions for the Water and Wastewater Industry.

General Description:

The accountant is expected to be the point of reference for project staff, management, and the corporate team alike. Responsible for all activities around maintaining records of all transactions, processing payments, following up with receivables. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with good communication skills capable of handling interface with the internal team as well as external resources and clients. Candidate shall be familiar with international and regional accounting and finance norms and be responsible for compliance with internal governance policies as well as regulatory requirements.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Experience in handling export letter of credit (LC) & Negotiations with banks & customers.
  • Experience in handling cross border bank guarantees
  • Preparation of account receivables report aging report, customer activity etc.
  • Highly motivated professional by taking lead role in clearing customer queries on SOA, Invoices and guarantee related queries.
  • Bank reconciliation
  • ERP experience (MS Dynamics) preferred but not mandatory.
  • Basic excel formulas VLOOKUP, IF function, pivot tables
  • Enter and maintain all transaction records in the company accounting software that is posting of receivables, bank guarantee entries and updating respective ledgers (Data Entry).
  • Work with project teams to prepare and submit invoices to customers in a timely manner.
  • Follow up with customers to minimize outstanding payments.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Liaise with our Financial Manager to improve financial procedures.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Letter of Credit (Negotiations both end customers and banks)
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
  • Familiarity with financial accounting statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
  • Excellent communication, writing and computer skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Good teamworking skills are mandatory for this role.
  • Able to work under pressure & meet deadlines.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
Education and/or Experience:

Bachelors degree in accounting or equivalent

5-7 years experience in roles with similar responsibilities

Exposure to Manufacturing and/ Construction Industry or similar industry Preferred.
