We are looking for a skilled Accountant with 2-5 years of UAE experience in the MEP contracting industry to join our Abu Dhabi office. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, with a strong background in accounting and financial management within the MEP sector or realestate or construction & Should know First Bit ERP.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and summaries in compliance with company policies and UAE financial regulations.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
Oversee VAT return preparation and submission, ensuring compliance with UAE tax laws.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Process payroll efficiently, including salary, benefits, and deductions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Coordinate with external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Review and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims in accordance with company procedures.
Maintain and organize financial records, ensuring proper documentation and easy accessibility.
Collaborate with project managers and other departments to provide financial insights and support project-related financial activities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2-5 years of UAE experience in accounting within the MEP contracting or construction industry.
Knowledge of First Bit ERP.
Comprehensive knowledge of UAE accounting standards and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
