Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Accountant with expertise in inventory management to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, as well as a comprehensive understanding of inventory control and valuation. The role involves managing financial transactions related to inventory, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. The Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory processes and contribute to strategic decision-making. This position requires attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Job Responsibilities: Inventory Management:Oversee and manage the company\'s inventory control systems, including inventory valuation, costing methods, and cycle counting processes. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze inventory-related financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Provide accurate and timely inventory-related information to support decision-making processes. Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of inventory records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. Investigate and resolve any inventory-related discrepancies or issues. Costing and Pricing: Collaborate with relevant teams to establish and maintain accurate product costs. Monitor and analyze pricing strategies to maximize profitability and identify cost-saving opportunities. Inventory Planning and Forecasting: Work closely with sales, operations, and procurement teams to forecast inventory needs and optimize inventory levels. Develop inventory replenishment strategies to ensure adequate stock availability while minimizing excess inventory. Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, internal controls, and regulatory requirements related to inventory management. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and provide guidance on their implications. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve inventory management processes and systems. Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and cost savings. Auditing and Compliance: Support internal and external audits related to inventory management. Provide accurate and timely documentation and explanations as required. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including purchasing, production, logistics, and finance, to streamline inventory processes and resolve operational issues. Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members on inventory management processes, systems, and best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus. Proven experience as an Accountant with a focus on inventory management. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, inventory control, and valuation methods. Proficiency in inventory management software and advanced MS Excel skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements. Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus. Job Type: Full-time Ability to commute/relocate:
