Project Location(s): Abu Dhabi, UAE
Education: BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
Verify and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
Analyze financial information and summarize financial results for management decision making.
Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems.
Participate in financial standards setting, forecasting and budgeting.
Provide input into department\xe2\x80\x99s goal setting process.
Prepare financial statements
Responsible for Annual tax return matters and issues.
Coordinate with internal auditors to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Support month-end and year-end close process.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Liaise with our financial manager and other accountants to improve financial procedures.
WIP verification as per progress reports and contract value.
Monitor cash related transactions i-e project funds & business advances.
Review commercial proposals,& arrangement of bid bonds/bank guarantee.
Monitor project costing and expenses as per the allocated budget.
Verification of sale invoices and aging analysis for strong follow-up with clients.
Review & monitor monthly payroll-related activities and final settlements of employees.
Verification of vendors\xe2\x80\x99 payment, purchasing and recording of assets.
As our ideal candidate, you should have:
BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
Relevant certification (e.g. ACCA, CMA or CPA) will be preferred.
Minimum 2-3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as accountant or similar role.
Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Awareness of business trends
Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
Accuracy and attention to detail
Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
Excellent knowledge of risk analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
Working knowledge of financial software and MS Office.
