Accountant - Dubai based (JLT) - Oil and Gas Company

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join an esteemed Oil and Gas company in Dubai, based in JLT. The ideal candidate should have relevant UAE market experience. Responsibilities:

Record journal entries to ensure all business transactions are accurately documented in the accounting system. Manage sales and purchase invoices weekly and monthly, including VAT and Corporate Tax compliance checks. Prepare periodic account reconciliations with clients and vendors. Reconcile bank accounts, petty cash, and credit card statements weekly. Review project cash flow forecasts weekly to ensure alignment with payables and receivables. Prepare weekly payment runs and coordinate approvals. Maintain and organize accounting files and records, ensuring compliance with best practices and uploading reports in Ottofiles. Upload approved payments in online banking systems for review and authorization. Manage labor allocations and payslips in the accounting system, ensuring compliance with employment contracts and labor laws. Record monthly recurring entries and maintain schedules for balance sheet items. Prepare inter-company invoices and reconcile inter-company balances. Manage GL accounts related to unrealized sales revenue and work in progress, including monthly analysis. Perform month-end closing within 5 working days to ensure accurate financial recording. Assist in preparing standalone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local regulations. Contribute to financial budgeting, forecasting, and periodic reviews. Liaise with external auditors, banks, and tax authorities. Assist in preparing and filing periodic tax returns. Support continuous improvement of accounting policies, procedures, and finance functions. Compensation:
