We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the financial operations of our multi-site eCommerce business. This role goes beyond traditional accounting--it involves daily coordination with operations, suppliers, and external partners. The ideal candidate will be comfortable wearing multiple hats, from managing purchase orders to supporting administrative tasks like visa coordination and insurance renewals.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial & Accounting Duties
Record supplier invoices and reconcile them in
Zoho Books
Monitor and track payments from:
Vendors (including cash collected on delivery)
Payment gateways
Courier partners
BNPL providers
Perform
daily bank reconciliations
and ensure accurate cash flow tracking
Prepare and file
VAT and other tax returns
, and manage tax registration
Generate financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and assist in budgeting
Maintain compliance with UAE accounting and tax regulations
Purchase & Operations Coordination
Create
daily Purchase Orders (POs)
and send them to the operations team
Ensure timely communication with suppliers for order fulfillment
Track and verify supplier shipments and invoice matching
Administrative & Cross-functional Support
Liaise with
PRO companies
for visa issuance, cancellation, and other government-related tasks
Coordinate with
medical insurance providers
and
banks
for renewals and documentation
Support other departments during peak periods or staff shortages
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in eCommerce or retail
Proficiency in
Zoho Books
or similar accounting software
Strong understanding of UAE VAT and tax regulations
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred Skills
Experience with payment gateway reconciliation (e.g., Stripe, Tabby, Tamara)
Familiarity with logistics and courier invoicing
Hands-on experience with inventory and order management systems
