Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 3D Printer Operator with hands-on experience in operating 3D printing machines and preparing files for print. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing 3D printing equipment, preparing digital models for printing, ensuring quality output, and maintaining the workflow efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot 3D printers (FDM/SLA/SLS or other types as applicable). Prepare, slice, and optimize 3D models using relevant software (e.g., Cura, PrusaSlicer, PreForm, etc.). Ensure proper calibration and routine maintenance of 3D printers. Monitor print jobs to ensure high-quality results and minimize material waste. Perform post-processing tasks such as support removal, sanding, or curing. Collaborate with design teams to review and adjust files for print feasibility. Maintain records of print jobs, material usage, and maintenance logs. Keep up-to-date with new technologies and best practices in 3D printing.
Requirements:
Proven experience operating 3D printing machines. Proficient in 3D model preparation and slicing software (STL, OBJ, G-code generation). Basic knowledge of 3D modeling tools (e.g., Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Blender, or similar) is a plus. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Technical diploma or certification in a relevant field is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with different types of 3D printing technologies (FDM, SLA, SLS, etc.). Experience in product prototyping, design iteration, or manufacturing environments. Knowledge of material properties related to 3D printing (PLA, ABS, resin, nylon, etc.).
