A 2D Draftsman is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. They support engineers, architects, and designers by preparing accurate 2D drawings, layouts, and schematics required for construction, fabrication, or manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and develop 2D drawings, plans, and layouts using AutoCAD or similar software.
Interpret sketches, specifications, and project requirements into accurate technical drawings.
Revise and update drawings as per feedback from engineers, architects, or project managers.
Ensure drawings comply with industry standards and project specifications.
Maintain organized drawing files and documentation for easy reference.
Coordinate with design and engineering teams to resolve drawing-related issues.
Requirements:
Diploma/Certificate in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting).
Strong knowledge of technical drawing standards and symbols.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
