Our client is a US pipe fabrication company based in Abu Dhabi, the fastest-growing turn-key industrial pipe fabrication organization in the world is seeking to hire a Yard Superintendent/Manager.

The Yard Superintendent/Manager assists and supports the Mechanics, Truck Drivers, Safety Officer, and Foreman at the Buckley Yard. The position works under direct supervision and performs routine daily activities related to the overall organization or the company yard and day-to-day support of ongoing crew operations. The Yard Manager must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have a strong communication organization skill.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for day-to-day functions of the fabrication/material yard in all aspects.

• Responsible for shop floor management, process control, troubleshooting and solving technical problems.

• Planning, Monitoring, and controlling the day-to-day output with respect to the production, material allocation, & shipping schedule.

• Lead and liaise with the team of Foreman\xe2\x80\x99s, Lead man & Supervisors.

• Coordinating with stores and procurement department on procurement and transportation of materials which will run day-to-day activities smoothly.

• Devising cost reduction procedures and increasing productivity through proper budgeting of consumables, preparing weekly/monthly production reports, standard operating procedure s, raw material consumption reports

• Meeting hourly production targets and ensuring strict adherence to quality standards, driving initiatives for a reduction in non-conformance, zero product recalls and customer complaints

• Instrumental in performing Jobs based on ASME, AWS etc., and successful in managing the material, including CS, SS, AS (SA516, P91/T91, 304, 316, INKONEL, MONEL, etc.)

• Review/preparation of production schedules and manpower histogram (MPH) with respect to scheduled dispatch date, estimated man hours, and other jobs on hand.

• Preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly progress and productivity reports.

• Review/preparation of Budget Revision Forms (BRF), Variation Order Request (VOR), Production Change Request (PCR), and Project Delay Notice (PDN).

• Monitor and control the estimated budget (Man-hours, Material and Outsourcing).

• Power user of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) developed in Oracle. Responsible for preparing Job Orders, execution of WIP transactions, Purchase requisition creation & Inventory control on ERP system.

• Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies, clients, and customers.

• Responsible to comply with ISO 9001/14001 & OSHAS 18001 procedures.

• Responsible for site mobilization, project management, fabrication, and support budget preparation

Requirements

• Experience: Pipe Fabrication Field -5-7 plus years

• Diploma/Graduation in Mechanical Engineering

• MS office Still: Good in Excel, Word & PowerPoint

• Familiar with a variety of the field\xe2\x80\x99s concepts, practices, and procedures

• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

• Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
