We are looking for a reliable Yard Assistant to support our operations team. The ideal candidate should be fluent in English and have prior yard assistant experience in the metal scrap industry.
Key Responsibilities:
? Manage weighbridge operations for incoming and outgoing vehicles.
? Handle weighment slips and maintain related reports.
? Assist in receiving and dispatching metal scrap loads purchased / sold by the company.
? Update the stock information of processed stocks (metal scraps) daily.
? Maintain communication with drivers and yard staff regarding weighment instructions.
? Supervise and support basic operations in the warehouse.
? Monitor the usage and functioning of machines such as metal wire shredders and granulators.
? Coordinate with supervisors on day-to-day yard activities.
Requirements:
? Fluent in English (spoken and written)
? Basic computer/data entry skills
? Minimum 2 years of experience in a metal scrap processing environment
? Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic knowledge of processing machinery
? Physically fit and willing to work in a yard/warehouse environment
? Education: Higher Secondary or a diploma
