Job Announcement Writer, Alhurra News The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is seeking a writer to develop and write news stories in classical Arabic with clarity, accuracy, and balance for Alhurra News at our Dubai Office. The Writer translates material from English into Arabic and works closely with MBN's editorial personnel. The incumbent Performs and Completes writing assignments (including re-writes) for summaries, news programs, news packages, live events and features. Maintains a knowledge of current International and U.S. events and conduct on-line research for story assignments. The Writer works closely with anchors, reporters and producers to support daily newscast, and performs other related tasks assigned by Producers and Senior Producers. Candidates are required to have: At least a Bachelor degree in Journalism, or related field. A minimum of 3 years of professional news writing experience. Good Verbal and written communication skills in Classic Arabic and English. Demonstrated experience with digital news broadcasting. Ability to work effectively with all levels of management. Strong computer and database skills. Knowledge of using graphic, editorial system (ENPS, Inews, VisArt and basic video editing). Ability to exercise self-discipline and time-management skills.
